1.       What are Online Statements?


Online Statement is a web-based service that provides a safe and convenient way to access your Albaraka accounts. Online Statements replace your paper statements with electronic versions that you can download, save, or print at your convenience.


2.       How do I register for the Online Statement System?


Follow these easy steps to register for the Online Statement System:

·          Sign on to Albarakaonline ® at or 

·          Select the Register link, which you can find on the Main Menu.

·          Complete the Registration form by filling in the relevant details.

·          Read and agree to the Electronic Banking Agreement . This will be presented to you during the online registration process.

·          You will need Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® (version 4.05 or later) if you wish to download and later view your statement.



3.        When registering I need to choose a password, how do I get an Albaraka Selected PIN (ASP)?


Once you register, you will receive a call from an Albaraka Bank Customer Service to verify your details. Once you have been authenticated, you will need to take positive identification to the branch and you will be issued with your PIN.  If you are not FICA compliant, please take along your documents for FICA verification.



4.       My ASP has been compromised / lost or stolen?


Please call Customer Service on 0860 225 786 and advise the agent. You will need to go into the branch with positive identification and a new PIN will be issued.  Similar will apply if you have forgotten your PIN or password.



5.       How much does Online Statement cost?


The Online Statement System service is free. The only costs you will incur are those for general Internet access. Which is Internet Service Provider charges and the costs of telephone usage.



6.       When is the Online Statement service available?


Online Banking service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.



7.       Is there an automatic time out feature on Online Statement System?


Yes there is, Online Statement session is automatically terminated in 10 minutes if we did not receive a request for information from you.



8.       Why is it important to select Logout to end the online session?


Selecting Logout is your way of telling Online Statement you have concluded the online session. This feature helps to maintain the security and privacy of account information by closing the connection to Online Statement.



9.       Will my Online Statement look the same as my regular printed statements?


Yes, and it will contain all the information that you received in your paper statements.



10.    What Web browsers can I use to access my Online Statements?


For maximum performance, we recommend that you use either Microsoft® Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, or Netscape Navigator 7.0® or higher.



11.    Will I continue to receive Paper Statement by regular mail?


Yes, Paper Statements will continue to be mailed to you until further notice.



12.    What is PDF?


Adobe® Portable Document Format (PDF) is a standard file format for distributing electronic documents. Adobe PDF files can be viewed, saved, and printed by using Adobe Acrobat Reader software.



13.     Why didn't I receive an email notification that my statement was ready to view online?


Please make sure that you have not blocked receiving email from Albaraka Bank.   Email notifications to view statements are not sent, you can view your statement at your leisure.  Please sign on to or to register for the system.



14.     Can I have the Online Statement System for more than one account?


The Online Statement System is available for all Deposit Accounts and all Finance Deals (excluding Musharakah), you should be able to view all your transactional history for these accounts.



15.    Can I go into the branch and request for a statement even though I have the Online Statement System?


Yes, you can request for a statement at the branch at a minimal charge.  Please remember the Online Statement System is free. 



16.    How do I save my Online Statements?


Once you've opened your Online Statement, you can save it using the small disk icon on the toolbar of your Adobe Acrobat Reader software. Provide a name for the file using a .pdf extension. Select a name that will help you remember which statement the file contains (e.g. SavingsJan2006.pdf)



17.    How do I print my Online Statements?


You can print your Online Statement just as you would any other document. Choose the Print option under the File menu on your browser or Adobe Acrobat Reader software.



18.     I have enrolled for the Online Statement System but I can't view my statement. What additional software do I need to view?


You need Adobe Acrobat Reader version 4.05 or later.



19.    Why Do I Need to Accept "Cookies" to Access My Account within Online Statements?


A cookie is a text file that resides on your computer. As part of the security of your data, cookies remind us of your particular browser preferences and security requirements. If your browser prompts you when a cookie is "served," you must accept it or the access to confidential information will be denied. Since cookies are site specific, only Albaraka Bank can access, decode and make use of the information.
